This auction is for a rare W. H. Grindley & Sons Transferware DAFFODIL pattern large tureen. The piece is marked on the underside with an impressed registration mark, the pattern name and trademark that identifies the maker as Grindley, a pottery maker working in Tunstall in the Staffordshire region of England during the 19th century. The pattern features oversized Daffodils, wild grasses and flowering phlox gracing the lid with a landscape scene of a young boy watching a sailing vessel rounding a huge castle. Repeating vignettes of luscious Daffodils along the rim. This delightful Victorian aesthetic 11 " x 7 " x 5 “ tall covered tureen is transfer printed in rich dark Brown with a pearlware glaze. Exquisite 1882 aestehtic movement tureen in great antique condition. PLEASE NOTE: Although all my listings will be marked that
returns are not accepted (due to eBay's change of policy from 14 day returns to
30 days), we will always accept returns for any item that you do not feel is
described accurately. We will not accept returns because an item
"does not fit" or because the buyer "changed their
mind". Be sure to check out our other listings and our eBay store items
(over 1950, all on sale). We don’t mark up our items by a great amount,
so reasonable offers only please. We do have a layaway plan available for items
or groups of items totaling $200 or more. We will only ship USPS Global
International to China, Italy and Australia due to the loss of many items in
the past. I cannot insure a package to these locations without shipping Priority
International. Or, we can ship to an address in the US.
