DESCRIPTION

Containing lists of mezzotint portraits, modern etchings, fine engravings, mezzotint and stipple portraits, old sporting prints, proof engravings and turner engravings.

Originally sold at auction by Christie Manson and Woods Auction House 8 King Street, St. James Square. At one O'clock precisely. Dating from Thursday 19th November 1903, through to Tuesday 19th July 1904.

With many charming hand-written annotated notes by the original owner.


CONDITION

In a cloth portfolio with ink inscription to the front wrap. Externally, some rubbing and heavy sunning to the spine. Light spotting, as well as some loss to the front wrap. Internally, catalogues are unbound. Chipping to extremities and light age toning to many. Instances of spotting and many handling marks. Charming ink and pencil annotated notes throughout.
