Victorian 18ct Gold Sapphire & Diamond Ring c1899
UK Ring Size 'K 1/2', or US Ring Size '5 1/2'

A stunning Victorian 18ct Gold Sapphire & Diamond set Ring dating to 1899, which has a Plain 'D' Shaped Shank and beautifully Engraved Shoulders leading to a Heavily Scroll Engraved Gem set Mount measuring approx' 20.0mm by 6.0mm (please see the detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of the item's description).

This wonderful Antique Ring, which weighs 2.8 grams, is set centrally with four Old-cut Diamonds (Eight-cut Diamonds in two pairs of differing heights to enhance ability to catch light) in a Lozenge Shaped Setting flanked by a Round Faceted Sapphire & Rose-cut Diamond to either side to create a Gem set Gallery that shimmers and catches the light with every movement.

This fine quality Victorian Ring is stamped with a full British Hallmark inside the shank, confirming that the ring is made from solid 18ct Gold and that it was assayed in Birmingham in 1899.

Overall this stunning Antique Ring is in truly superb condition with little sign of wear -the Hallmark is still as clear as the day it was struck, which is indicative of how little this ring has been worn.

The ring is sized at a UK Ring Size 'K 1/2', which equates to a US Ring Size '5 1/2' -as with almost all antique rings the band is slightly ovalized i.e it is not perfectly round and it measures slightly differently on the gauge depending on how it is positioned, however this will not affect the ring when worn.

In summary, this is a stunning Victorian 18ct Gold Sapphire & Diamond Ring dating to 1899 - it is quite simply sublime.
