Harvey Kuenn was an outstanding Major League shortstop, and one of the greatest hitters at the position the game has ever seen. The 1953 AL Rookie of the Year had a career .303 batting average. He was a 10-time All-Star, a Batting Champion, an the 1982 Manager of the Year for the Brewers known as Harvey's Wall Bangers. Kuenn passed away in 1988, before the big rush to obtain single-signed baseballs took off, thereby they are difficult to find. Finding one with an inscription such as this one, "A.L. Batting Champ 1959", is nearly impossible. And with a PSA/DNA Autograph Grade of 8, this is a collectors dream! This vintage Spalding American League (MacPhail) baseball has been hand signed and inscribed by Harvey Kuenn. It is guaranteed authentic, and includes a PSA/DNA Letter of Grading & Authenticity with an overall grade of 6.5.
Note: This item does not include an individually numbered TRISTAR Authentication hologram, only the PSA/DNA Letter of Grading & Authenticity.
