6000 Kelvin: 6,000 Kelvin is almost pure white, but has a very faint tint of blue. HID lamps with this rating have a very high performance, and give off the most visible light. This color is very popular as an aftermarket option.

  • ANSWER: An HID (High Intensity Discharge) refers to lighting technology that relies on an electrical charge to ignite xenon gas contained in a sealed bulb area. A normal halogen bulb uses a filament which burns out in as little as normally 250 hours. Our Hayabusa HID bulbs are gas filled capsules that are rated for a lifespan of almost 4000 hours. Our HID bulbs also shine a lot brighter due to this great technology.
QUESTION: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN HALOGEN VERSUS HID KITS
  • ANSWER: Unlike halogen bulbs, HID's emit a type of light that which closely appears like natural daylight and is therefore easier on the human eyesight. In fact, HID lights are currently used in most sports arenas, stadiums, and train stations around the world. Don't allow yourself to be fooled by lower end Xenon replica bulbs, that are sold at area retail stores. These Xenon style bulbs are not even close to the intensity, purity, and efficiency of high intensity discharge HID bulbs. Remember that HID bulbs higher than 8000 Kelvin rating are not D.O.T. approved.
