Antique 1890s Victorian Shirt Bodice Midnight Blue Applied Trim Decoration Boned

Antique ladies blouse / boned bodice.

Victorian era, circa late 1890s.

Very dark midnight blue color velvet with applied vertical decoration.

Two layers of lining. The top layer is coming apart from the bodice.

Flexible, vertical boning through the waist area.

Bloused look at the chest, with rouched waist area.

No collar.

Hook and eye front closure.

Short sleeves, puffy at the shoulders, fitted at the elbow.

Approximate measurements:

Length down the front center, bottom of V of neck to bottom point of waist = 17"

Length down the back center = 16.75"

Shoulder seam to shoulder seam, across the back, laid flat = 15"

Armpit to end of sleeve = 11.5"

Shoulder seam to end of sleeve = 16"

Underarm to underarm across the front: 16"

Diameter of sleeve opening = 5"

The top layer of lining is separating from the bodice.  Some loose threads. A section of the decoration has come loose on the left chest area, but looks like it could be tacked back down.  As this is a former museum piece, there could be other repairs / modifications of which I am unaware.
