Spalted beech is a natural beech wood forested and aged for several years in Denmark. While being cut Raffir takes the superior 10% to be stabilized
Stabilized Spalted beech obtains mechanical advantages due to the strong resin compound used in the stabilization process. With this process the block will be durable, easily obtain a high gloss finish, will absorb very little water, low swelling/shrinkage in various humidities. It is sent with a smooth surfaces and needs no other finishing other than fine sanding and polishing.
