The B707 is a mid-size, narrow-body four-engine jet airliner built by Boeing Commercial Airplanes from 1958 to 1979. The 707 dominated the market for passenger air transport in the 1960s and remained in use through the 1970s. Versions of the aircraft have a capacity from 140 to 189 passengers and a range of 2,500 to 5,750 nautical miles. This specific 707 model is the 707-320 Intercontinental variant, which is a stretched version. It also had a longer wing, which carried more fuel and increased range by 1,600 miles and allowed the aircraft to operate as true transoceanic aircraft.
This specific model is painted as an airliner for Trans World Airlines (TWA). TWA was an American airline that existed from 1925 until it was bought out by and merged with American Airlines in 2001.
This handcrafted model is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen with a wealth of detail and makes a great gift for any veteran, aviation enthusiast or history buff.
