The material is EN20471 certified (EN20471 is an international standard for the safety requirements and test methods of hi-vis workwear and is applicable to high-risk situations. It specifies requirements for 'high visibility clothing which is capable of visually signalling the user's presence' and assesses the suitability and durability of retro-reflective materials).
It is also Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, meaning that it does not contain harmful substances.

The transfers are easy to apply at home using an iron, a set of application instructions is included in every order. All you need to do is set the iron to 160°C (the cotton setting), and apply firm pressure for 15 seconds. Once completely cool remove the application film.
