Beautiful nickel silver 7/8' tall oval medal of the Face of Jesus as seen on the Shroud of Turin. The back of the medal has "Pray for us". The Shroud of Turin is said to be the burial cloth of Jesus upon which can be seen a image of His Crucified Body which may have been miraculously made just at the time of the Resurrection due to the great Power and Light which may have occurred. Many tests have been done on the Shroud, including recent carbon dating which claims the Shroud was made in medieval times; although there is reason to believe an error was made in collecting the sample for testing. Other studies have shown the linen to be of Middle Eastern origin containing pollen grains which would be found in ancient Jerusalem; as well as many studies by experts of the image itself which seems to be authentic. More evidence appears to be that the blood on the Shroud matches that of the blood found in the various Eucharistic miracles such as the one in Lanciano, Italy. I prefer to believe the Shroud of Turin is the burial shroud of Our Lord and shows the image of His Holy Face.
