We have learned a great deal about seedling production, proper storage, handling and identification of quality seeds to be able to offer you the finest and freshest seeds available. * Straight Eight is a Non-GMO, heirloom cucumber that is incredibly adaptable to different soil types and climatic conditions!

* This classic slicer cucumber is a a very fast grower in the vegetable garden.

* It received its name due to their near perfectly straight fruit.

* It is known for its beautiful deep green color and great flavor.

* These can be Spring sown in warm regions.

* Just pick these when they're about 8 inches long and experience true bliss! 

* You can choose to grow these with a fencing support or just use a simple trellis to keep them upright.  You can also just allow them to ramble on the ground.

Days to Germination-~30 days like other cucurbits

Planting Depth-Push blunt end into premoistened seedling mix until lightly covered by mix.

Life Cycle- annual

Germination Temperature-75 Fahrenheit in pre-moistened seedling mix 1/2 inch depth.  If sowing indoors use decomposable pots because they do "not" like root disturbance.  Outdoor sowing is preferable after last frost.

Days to Maturity-50-75

Spacing-6 inches apart in rows or about 5 seeds per hill and spaced 4 feet apart
