Author: Fleischmann Distilling Corporation
Title: [COCKTAILS] [WORLD WAR II] Pilgrim Rum: The True New England Flavor for Better Drinks and Food
Publication: Peekskill, NY: Fleischmann Distilling Corporation, (1943)

Description: Staplebound. 24mo, illustrated. A near fine copy, bright and clean, with just a hint of edgewear. Scarce cocktail booklet advertising Pilgrim rum, a New England-style rum based on the centuries-old tradition of rum distilling which dated from the Triangle Trade route. This edition, published in 1943, contains a few paragraphs at the beginning which discuss the challenges of making some of these recipes during the height of war rationing. The only other edition we have located, published in 1939, would necessarily not contain such a passage. OCLC records four copies of the 1939 edition, but no separate holdings of this 1943 edition. Near fine.
