Hi this auction is for a fabulous true vintage full length faux fur coat.

Made up of a rich thick brown faux fur, this would have been a really good piece in its day, really nice quality and is very heavy although I can’t find any makers labels on it. There is the remains of a label in the inside down the side but this is just a tiny sliver.

Full length style with a wrist length sleeve (ideal to show off your watch or jewellery!) these are shaped with a fabulous retro big cuff, the collar is also shaped this way with a big curved sweep.

Would guess is probably 1940’s/50’s made judging by the style and would have been a dress coat or evening wear originally.

Is fully lined and I suspect is quite faded as has a two tone effect, darker at the top and a rich red at the bottom, I imagine it started out life all red but has faded to the colour at the the top.

Fastens at the front with a single hook clasp.

Isn’t sized but is neat on me so I would estimate us around a 10-12 but please see exact measurements below.

Measures approx underarm to underarm

Approx 17’ from shoulder to shoulder

Approx 22’ from shoulder to arm cuff

Approx 41’ from back of neck to bottom hem

Condition is used and does have some noticeable wear, firstly the noticeable discolouration to the lining.

There are also a few patches of less dense/missing fur. Please see last two photos. There couple of patches on the body of the coat are hard to see (in the photo and in real life as the fur generally skis do thick so however there is one patch on the back of one arm which is very noticeable.

Overall this is in good general condition for its age, is from a smoke free home and has been carefully cleaned/aired by me as I intended to wear it but it’s just too neat on me.

Collection would be possible from BT55 if preferred as postage is fairly high due to the weight.

Would be fabulous for vintage outfit, evening wear or even costume use.
