	A 2.5x4.5' album page autographed by Jimmy Jemail, personalized and dated 1938. Jemail (1893-1976) was a journalist and football player. Heattended Brown University, where he played halfback for the football team. He played in the 1916 Rose Bowl (originally the "Tournament East-West Football Game"). After serving in the U.S. Navy, in 1921, he went to the New York Daily News. Initially hired as a Sunday watchman, he was assigned as the "Inquiring Fotographer," where he asked strangers on the street questions from readers and take photo portraits of the interviewees. He continued with the column for over 52 years and retired from the Daily News in 1973. Page and signature grade high. Provenance: We are proud to offer part of the "Florence Collection", an amazing IN PERSON collection of signatures from the late 1930's to the early 1950's by a true original chaser. This woman had her autograph album books ready and most likely haunted the exit doors of famed establishments as she carefully dated almost all the pages and wrote where she obtained the signature on the side or bottom of every page. She attended many Broadway plays, Big Band shows and Radio shows, obtaining signatures of the actors with many very rare signatures included, most all of them personalized to Florence.
