Flourish Excel is a source of bioavailable organic carbon that all plants need to grow properly. Usually it is obtained from carbon dioxide, but it can also be absorbed from simple organic compounds (e.g. photosynthetic intermediates).

Gaseous CO2 delivery does not preclude the use of Flourish Excel and vice versa. Since the photosynthetic intermediates are formed and used simultaneously, the administration of Flourish Excel is beneficial, whether or not you saturate the water with carbon dioxide gas. The alternate use of both methods works especially well when the addition of CO2 may cause a rapid decrease in the water pH.

The preparation also has strong reducing properties in relation to iron, increasing the amount of Fe2 + ions, which are more easily absorbed by plants than Fe3 + ions.

The final product of the photosynthesis process is glucose. In the subsequent stages of its synthesis from carbon dioxide with the participation of light, intermediates are produced, such as ribulose 1,5 - bisphosphate and 2-carboxy-3-keto-D-arabinitol-1,5-bisphosphate. Underneath these complicated names are simple five-carbon chains. Flourish Excel does not contain these compounds, but other compounds similar to them, thanks to which plants receive the necessary ingredients in a "ready-made form", without the need to produce them from carbon dioxide, and thanks to subsequent enzymatic reactions, they can transform them into the compounds they need.

Directions for use: During the first use or after a large water change (> 40% volume), give one cap (5 ml) for every 40 l of water. After that, use 1 cap for every 200 liters, every day or every other day. In tanks with a lot of plants, the dose can be gradually increased. Measuring a smaller amount of the preparation is facilitated by the thread cuts on the cap. Each one corresponds to a volume of 1 ml.
