In 1957 the official name of these islands changed from French Settlements in Oceania to French Polynesia and 1958 was the year of circulation of these stamps of the Polynesian girl holding a guitar engraved by Charles Mazelin, well known French engraver winner of the Grand Prix de l'art Philatelique !
