Though they are saying that the batteries are genuine maxell they are not. HITACHI maxell don?t make any alkaline button cell, these are cheap china batteries, the only packing type which is original is the one showed in our listing. You can confirm this with Maxell USA as well. Hitachi maxell Only makes the following numbers in alkaline button cells LR41, LR43,LR44,LR1120, LR 1130.But these numbers also they are selling the fake ones, so please beware  in these if you need the original then check my listing for these batteries and you will see the original packing.

 Original Maxell batteries have a new HOLOGRAM SEALED BLISTER CARD. Which will you see in the picture in my listing. Fake Maxell batteries have a card board type packing and are normally multicolored packing. They can be in any color form but right now I see the blue and white and red and white Floating on the eBay. But mainly they are in cardboard type packing.

WHY SHOULD YOU BUY SILVER OXIDISED (SR) AND NOT ALKALINE BATTERIES (LR) in watch batteries.

1)      Alkaline batteries only have about half the capacity of a silver oxide cell

2)      Alkaline batteries Voltage is not very constant during its life

3)      Alkaline batteries have relatively short shelf life

4)      Alkaline batteries are used only in very cheap watches

5)      Ever had a friend whose watch battery leaked inside the watch, if yes than be sure that it was the alkaline battery inside.

 

Bottom point being since I have doing watch batteries for a long time I would never suggest that you put the alkaline battery especially in the watch.
