This listing is for one of the most gorgeous antique hand mirrors I have owned in over 35 years in the antiques business. The mirror dates to the Art Nouveau period and is decorated with multiple full figured cupids with deeply chased flowers and ivy running throughout the design on both sides and extending down onto the handle. There is large center cartouche for monogram with a fancy monogram with the center initial being "M" (the others are uncertain). The back of the mirror has a modified heart shape mirror with double bevel cut edges. We did not find a mark but believe this mirror was made by Gorham and the frame is guaranteed to be Sterling Silver. 

Measures 11" long and 5 1/4" wide. The mirror measures 4 1/2" long and 3 3/4" wide. Weighs slightly over 1 pound. 

This nice hand mirror is absolutely sunning and in in very good Estate condition. The only noted flaw is that someone has scratched the outside frame in one area that looks like they used a file. I have no explanation why this was done but it's in an area where it is not extremely noticeable. The mirror is tight in the frame and there is some minor loss to the silver backing around the bottom edge. There are a couple of small faint dings in the silver on the rounded outside edge that are from normal wear and are considered to be minor. Please view all photos as part of this description.
