Beautiful 19th century Arita Imari Blue and White Porcelain Punch Bowl made in Japan during the Meiji Period (1868-1912).

The bowl has pretty scalloped decorative sides with ornate hand-painted butterflies and foliage. It also features decorative figures of

Asian ‘karako’ children playing. On the base is similar decoration and two characteristic blue circular lines.

Measurements:

Diameter 21cm

It has a couple of chips on the rim and marks commensurate with age. Please see photos. Overall a lovely hand-crafted vintage bowl.
