You are quite simply looking at the best Christmas gift my kids ever got! If you have creative kids who love to perform and put on puppet shows, plays, dance recitals, concerts, magic shows, or anything of the kind, they are going to go nuts over this theater!

Assembles in minutes - parental assistance required! – and disassembles even quicker. Fully assembled it is 5 feet tall and large enough for four children to play inside. It breaks down and stores away compactly in a box less than 2 feet wide and 6 inches deep. He always kept it on the shelf in our closet until it was showtime again!

There is a dressing room, a ticket booth, a refreshment stand, and main stage. Each side of the theater has some special element, such as pockets for props, clear pouches for the performers’ headshots, plastic windows where you can slide in the price for each refreshment, as well as a larger pouch that can hold candy, and on the front a pouch that holds a marquee with flashing lights that can be personalized! There are two clocks with moving hands, and a clear plastic pouch where are you can slide in one of the premade cars that describes your shell, or use a dry erase marker to create your own unique sign!

There is a backdrop that can be attached to the back of the theater and and the requisite stage curtains that can be slid open and closed. There is a back exit door through the dressing room, and two windows on either side where are refreshments and tickets can be bought. If you’re in the mood for a puppet show, you can Velcro on the half panel that hides the puppet masters from view as they perform.

This theater has seen many many hours of creative play and fun performances. It is in excellent condition and includes all original pieces, except for a plastic microphone and one of the play books that has recently gone missing. There are no stains, rips, or tears. The only visible wear is that the Velcro on one corner of the puppet show panel is coming loose and needs a few stitches to secure it better, and also some wear and tear to one of the black signs that my kids used most frequently and somewhat overzealously.

I would suggest adult assistance the first time assembling the theater, because the steps have to be performed in a specific sequence that makes it easier to insert the rods into the connectors. This can require some patience and the one time I was lacking this, I broke one of the connectors by Assembling it out of order and then trying to force it. As a result, I ordered replacement connectors and there are several extras included in case you ever go all Incredible Hulk while rushing to assemble this in time for the show!
