This is a mounted Antique Ayuthia (Ayutthaya) Period Bronze Buddha Head fragment from Thailand.  This original piece dates from the 14th Century to 18th Century. The item was originally purchased in Bangkok in the late 1960's to early 1970's by my father who was an antique dealer in Penang Malaysia at the time.  The item was purchased in the Antique district of Bangkok in the area bordered by Silom Road and Surawong Road.

Buddha Head Dimensions: 1 1/8 inch wide, 2 inches high with a depth of 1 1/8 inch.  Height of Buddha Head including the wood base is 3 inches (Wood Base is 1 1/8 inch square) Weight: 2.6 ounces.
