Up for auction 1930's PERIOD FOOTBALL HELMET Here is a rare find! Found in a closed sports shop in South Bend, Indiana. We have a football helmet dating from the late thirties. The helmet is marked inside with "House of Harter" "1195" and "6 7/8". Colors are brown and gold (Notre Dame?). Box label reads "HEAD HELMET" with "Number 1195" and "Size 6 7/8". Helmet is in really good condition and looks unused. Auction estimate from 2009: $1,800 to $2,400.
