This listing is for a pair of lovely antique Steuben Art Glass Calcite lamp shades, style #2533, decorated with sculptured stylized flowers, c. 1920's. The shades have a creamy-white coloration with slight iridescence with the appearance of a pearl's luster. The sculpted (acid etched) decoration appears frosted against the polished pearlized surface. Calcite glass was developed in 1915 and was a favorite glass to be used for lamp shades and ceiling fixtures as its warm tone gave off a warm tone when lit.
Measures 4 3/8" high with a top diameter of 2 1/4" (fitter) and base opening of 4 3/4" in diameter. Combined weight slightly under 2 pounds.
These nice lamp shades are in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws.
