The modern home is filled with small devices. Many of them are very useful – others less so. Light bulbs will come in handy at some point – as might batteries, miscellaneous wiring, screwdrivers, resistors, hand files, phono-adaptors and roll upon roll of electrical tape. It’s probably best that this stuff be thrown away, but we’re sure that some of it might prove useful one day – it’s just that we’re not sure what bits, or why, or when.

This is ideal for any women in the house, who might otherwise spend their time stepping on rogue screws, ball bearings and springs.

The hoard might include keys for buildings we no longer live in, batteries which have long-since run out of juice and manuals for Betamax players and audio cassette decks.
