This is a magnificent original 19th century oil on canvas painting by listed Italian artist  Grilotti done by 1880's signed by the artist on the lower left. This painting shows a mother who brought her son to enroll at the class offering the teacher a basket filled with a bottle of wine, a duck e.t.c. It shows the teacher deciding if its a sweet deal for him. This piece was purchased from the gallery in Beverly Hills 30 years ago for $28.000. Measures 19.7" by 23.7" and 14.2" by 18.2" unframed. It comes wit its original 19th century hand carved frame.
