"Lions Minstrel"

Friday Night, November 18

Playhouse Theatre

The All-Year Mecca of High-Class Shows

C. D. Buckner, Resident Manager

No date is actually printed on or in the program.  There is writing on the first page with a date, December 11, 1927....so, I'm assuming it's from that year.

The program booklet measures approx 9" x 6" and has 20 pages.  There is NO tearing, but the top left corner is bumped/creased on the cover and all pages.  At least 2 pages have names with pen underlining.  Also, light foxing and discoloration to the pages.  Staples are rusted.  Overall, good condition.

Fille throughout with vintage advertisements.....Ford Batteries from Carolina Motor Company, Standard Motor Oil and Gasoline, Rhyne's Drug Store, JC Penney Co., Brostol Motor Company, Vance Barber Shop, Coca-Cola, Morris Battery & Radio Station, Thomas Tire & Battery Company, Purol Gasoline -  Tiolene Motor Oil - Statesville Oil Company......and, many more....

Fairgrove Lions Club is located in Thomasville, North Carolina ; Rare, staplebound program booklet is in about good condition ; cover shows light dirty staining and discoloration ; pages are not numbered - booklet is aproximately 1/4" thick ; there is a large crease in the front cover ;

filled throughout with vintage business advertisements, the center pages show the evening's program and cast , total of five pages actually cover the show.   The remaining aprox  (54) pages are all various sizes of local business advertisements.
