Captain Cook £2 coins : a complete set of three in BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED quality. Still in original mint packaging.

This £2 coin series was first issued in 2018 to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the famed British Explorer, Captain Cook, setting sail on his legendary Voyage of Discovery.  Additional coins were issued in 2019 and 2020.  This series is no longer available at the Royal Mint.

Cook’s pioneering expedition for the ‘Great South Land’ expanded our understanding of the world beyond known horizons and 250 years on is being celebrated with this unique 3 x £2 coin series [1x 2018, 1x 2019 and 1x 2020].

The inventive design of each coin and their packaging means that when they are placed together they form an overall design depicting Captain Cook’s famous ship, the HM Bark Endeavour. The packaging tells the story of Cook’s voyage and traces his progress on a map.

Each coin has been specially struck to a superior Brilliant Uncirculated quality.
