Make sure to eliminate dust generated by strong friction

When the substance contained in the friction material of the brake pad burns due to high temperature, gas is generated, and the gap between the pad and the rotor interferes with the effectiveness of the brake. This is called fading. A slit located in the center of the brake pad efficiently discharges gas and pad residue to maintain stable braking force.

Chamfer cut to suppress unpleasant squeal

If the pad has corners, it will make an unpleasant noise when braking. To prevent this, the corners are chamfered (end chamfer cut) to suppress unpleasant brake squeal as much as possible.

No need for extra quenching

Project Mu's brake pads are heat-treated in advance and burn out unnecessary materials that are needed only during manufacturing, thus suppressing the generation of gas that causes fades. You can use it with peace of mind just by cleaning it after purchase.

Strong back plate to prevent distortion

The performance required of the back plate is that it does not lose the strong pressure of the piston and does not distort. If it is distorted, the friction material will come off, which may cause a serious accident. Normally, steel is used for the back plate, but Project Mu uses a steel plate that is 20% stronger than the genuine product to ensure sufficient strength.
