BARRY FAIN'S PRIVATE BLUE BOOK OF GUN VALUES 1982 VOLUME 2 NUMBER 1. It has some discoloration on the front cover but remains in, solid, good condition overall. What is rare and unique about this book that we found in Minnesota is there is a post-it note from S.P. FJESTAD "Personal Book - return after show (or die)".
S.P. was employed by the publisher of this book, Investment Rarities, Inc. in the early's 1980's and used the information in this book as a reference to his own works as well a copy he used at the hundreds of trade shows he attended. This is a real gem to those who collect his work.

His love of firearms became his life’s work after he began attending shows on the gun show circuit.
In 1980, Steve moved to Minneapolis and began working as a numismatist and a gun broker with Investment Rarities. A year later, he took over the manuscript of the annual “Blue Book of Gun Values.” In 1988, Steve and three others founded Blue Book Publications, which over the years expanded into a robust publishing company with more than 100 titles in print and a full online offering. The 40th anniversary “Blue Book of Gun Values” was published in early 2019, and there are over 1.8 million copies in print.
S.P. Fjestad has edited and published over 160 books on a wide variety of subjects, including firearms, airguns, black powder reproductions and replicas, automobiles, guitars, engraving, billiards and pool cues, ammunition, and others. Additionally, S.P. Fjestad has written and edited hundreds of articles for various trade publications, and the Blue Book of Gun Values may be the only gun book ever pictured in Time magazine and listed as a reference source in the Wall Street Journal. He has also testified as an authority in many professional and legal situations. Fjestad has also been a guest on such TV programs as American Rifleman, American Guns, Guns & Ammo, and Gun Talk TV.
Additionally, he posted the weekly Gun of the Week article on bluebookinc.com, in addition to blogging under the heading "S.P. Fjestad's Lethal Blogging."
Steve was also a lifelong member of the NRA and was currently serving as a member on the board of directors and a sitting member on the Publication’s Committee before his death.
