This is a  pair of brake booster bracket, machined bushing, and hardware to install a 99-04 Super Duty Booster into a 1968-1979 Ford F150 / F250 / F350. Picture #2 shows everything I sell. This listing DOES NOT include the brake booster, master cylinder or plumbing. You will need to purchase separate.

These brackets and hardware are designed to install a 1999-2004 Super Duty hydrobooster onto your 73-79 truck. They are not compatible with any factory 73-79 booster.

I have multiple versions of these brackets, and I need to know what booster your truck came with originally to send the correct bracket!

This is a first of its kind- a bolt in kit designed to work on 1979 and older Ford F100, F150, F250 and F350 trucks that gives you a later model Super Duty hydroboost  brake booster and master cylinder! You will get significantly more fluid pressure and volume coming out of this master cylinder. This kit installs in about an hour and requires no cutting or permanent modification. It works with your existing brake pedal.

The master cylinder will have a 1 3/8" (1.375") bore. Your factory master cylinder likely has a bore of 1.00" or 1.25". Assuming you have the larger 1.25" bore (likely not the case), the factory bore size has surface area of 1.227 square inches. A bore of 1 3/8" has surface area of 1.485 square inches. This makes for an increase of about 21% of fluid coming out of the master cylinder as compared to your factory one, with the same amount of brake pedal movement. In other words, goodbye squishy/low brake pedal! This is overkill and maybe too much for drum/drum brakes. this is really meant for disc brakes!

This brake booster will be powered by hydraulic fluid from the steering pump. These boosters are about as powerful as they get! Most factory 73-39 brake boosters are either a single 9", a single 11" or a dual 9". You will feel like your braking power doubles with this kit. This is really meant for disc brakes. Drum brakes will feel like they want to lurch and lock up.

when you place an order I will need to know what type of booster your truck came with originally so I send you the right mounting bracket. There were three main types- a booster with a long straight rod, a cantilever booster which had a lever system, and then a booster with an angled and offset rod connecting to the brake pedal (this last one is most popular for 1979 models). Please message me and let me know which your truck had. If you are unsure, send me a couple pictures of your booster and brake pedal bracket.
