On 1 October 1956 the company moved from Greven to larger premises in Emsdetten. With the location in Emsdetten and its river Ems the firm's name was altered to Emsa on 29 December 1964. From 1982 the Emsa factory started producing plastic vacuum jugs. Today, these mark one of the company's largest business areas. Emsa was acquired by the French corporation SEB that have a portfolio of brands including Tefal, Seb, Rowenta, Moulinex, Krups, Lagostina, All-Clad, WMF, Emsa and Supor.
