Vintage THE CUSTOM SHOP, 715-5TH AVENUE NEW YORK, SHIRTMAKERS

Very Fitted shirt with French cuffs and chest monogram LK. Close fitting back darts take the measurement of 46" chest down to 40" waist. High armhole measures 8.5" diagonally from shoulder to, underarm seam.

Not sure of the decade but believed to be late 60's or early 70s based on previous owner's recollection.

"Starting as a small one-man store on Broadway & 26th Street, Mortimer Levitt founded The Custom Shop in 1937. The first 5 stores were all located in New York City. Mortimer expanded The Custom Shop. Along with the famous red and white awning that still is a staple of The Custom Shop logo, each of the stores had imitation torch lamps that burned yellow. This enabled the stores to be seen for many blocks.

The Custom Shop has had the pleasure of servicing many top professionals, distinguished political figures, T.V. personalities and many more well know men across the country and the world."

CONDITION. Good vintage condition. Label shows wear and previous owner's last name inked on. No other issues. Overall great vintage piece. Freshly laundered and pressed it's ready to wear.
