James "Jim" Wilson, 1870-1939, was born in England and connected with one of the UK's earliest tattooers, Professor Tom Riley. he migrated to the US and was connected with early master tattooer Elmer Getchell in Norfolk before 1920. He then later tattooed in Brooklyn, NY in the 1920s. His dapper and handsome image appears on several pitch and business cards from that time period.
