DESCRIPTION

This adventure novel was first published in 1915, and is the first of Buchan's novel featuring his hero Richard Hannay. It is set in 1914 with war in Europe looming, and has been adapted multiple times across film, radio, television and theatre, including a celebrated Hitchcock adaptation.

Written by John Buchan (1875-1940), a Scottish novelist and politician best known for this work and his other adventure fiction.

Complete with a dust wrapper.

This is the fifteenth impression of this work.


CONDITION

In the publisher's original full cloth binding, with a clipped dust wrapper. Externally a trifle rubbed, with a few spots to the spine and wear and discolouration to the head of the spine, which is a little cocked. Dust wrapper has a few large chips to the head of the spine and cover, with a smaller chip to the base of the cover. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
