VINTAGE CIRCA 1940s ERA, GREEN COLORED FLANNEL,
12 SLOT, TEASPOON / SALAD FOR SIZED,
TARNISH-PROOF STORAGE BAG FROM
WINSTON JEWELERS, ONCE IN THE SCHAEFER BUILDING IN
DEARBORN, MICHIGAN USA

IMPORTANT NOTE:  THE OWNER OF WINSTON JEWELERS,
MAURY WINSTON, WAS THE ORIGINAL FOUNDER OF THE DETROIT GEMS
NBL BASKETBALL TEAM, WHICH LATER BECAME THE
LOS ANGELES LAKERS OF THE NBA

WHEN OPENED FLAT, IT MEASURES 21" LONG x 8-1/2" WIDE

Shows typical light wear from use and storage, including scuff marks, light spotting, light fraying including the draw strings, and it does have a light musty odor.  It has been lightly dusted, but has not been cleaned thoroughly due to its fragility.  It is intact, has no holes or tears, has no personal monograms, with no major issues at all.

It is screened on the inside edge TARNISHPROOF PROCESSED FLANNEL, with the Winston Jewelers logo and address at the top.

HISTORICAL FOOTNOTE:  It is important to reference that the owner of Winston Jewelers, Maurice (Maury) Winston, was the co-founder of the short lived Detroit Gems NBL basketball team from 1946-1947, hence their name Gems.  The team was disbanded, then sold, and became the Minneapolis Lakers, which we now know today as the historic Los Angeles Lakers NBA basketball team.

This is really great, more hard to find and collectible piece!  Would be great if you happen to own a set of Sterling silver or silverplate flatware once purchased from here, you're a family member, you collect local Dearborn history, or you happen to collect more obscure items related to these basketball teams!

DON'T MISS OUT!

Would make a great gift idea for that special someone you know, too!
