Icelandic sheep are naturally long haired with a very soft fleece. The sheep fleece is made up of 2 parts the outer fibres which are soft, long and silky, and shorter inner hairs which are thicker for warmth. But choosing this sheepskin you are getting a lovely feeling skin which is incredibly silky and tactile, while being one of the warmest available.

About the colour

The colour is a wonderful rich deep black. There may be small patches of lighter grey - this is not dyed - its completely natural colouring that comes from the sheep itself.
