  • IF your genuine ink cartridge has 9-pins,you should reset the chip before the ink levels shows 5%-10%, As the chip will destroy itself when the ink runs out.

 Operations:

  • When you are attempting to do a reset, the LED will light up and flash about 3-4 seconds.
  • If the LED turned green, it means the resetting operation has been successfully completed and the chip is in a good state.
  • If the LED turns red, or does not flash, this is an indication that the chip you are trying to reset is either corrupted or damaged.
  • If the LED turned red or did not flash it may be
    a) The pins are not making good contact with the chip
    b) The battery in the resetter has come loose or is expired.
    c) The cartridge chip is corrupted or damaged.



Rest Procedure:

Line up the contacts to match so you see the red LED is on. Hold the resetter in contact with the chip until the red LED turns green.

  • Align the chip to the correct notch on the reset unit so that the chip contacts and the pins on the resetter meet.
  • Keep the two units in firm contact. If the red light is blanking, it shows the two units contact well.
  • If the red light turns to green, it shows the reset operation is successful.
  • Cartridge is now ready for refilling with ink.

If the red LED does not turn green, retry this reset. If the LED stay red, the cartridge chip is corrupted or damaged.
