I have just moved from my house in NJ where I was a big collector of a variety of objects to outfit my big Victorian. Now that we have moved to Florida, there is just no way to keep so many things.
Description:
- This is a stunning dresser tray which I suppose could be used for serving canapes or small desserts as well.
-
- This is a piece by Tirschenreuth done probably during their early period...circa 1903. (They were in business 1903 – 1927.)
-
- The style is so representative of the Art Nouveau period as it was coming into the Art Deco period.
-
- The irises are very stylized is a very pleasing pattern.
-
- The piece is artist signed by what appears to be Lebowitz.
-
- The piece has pretty gilding along the edge.
-
Signed on the back with the Tirschenreuth mark of a green wreath and P.T. with Bavaria mark below.
Measures 11-3/8" x 7-5/8".
Condition:
- No cracks and chips.
-
- Some minor wear to gilding along the edge (please see close-up photos).
