The hinges use a precision machined barrel from high strength, solid cold roll steel bar. They are fitted with roller bearings for extra smooth, easy operation. Unlike ordinary hinges that will seize up and fail to work due to age and weather conditions, this style of hinge will operate like new with proper minimal maintenance. Zerk fitting for easy greasing makes for hinges that will last a very long time!

INSTALLATION: GUARDIAN gate hinges are to be mounted with the yoke (FIG. 1) welded to the gate and the channel welded to the round post. The hinges must be installed with the hinge pins in a straight line. Reference sales literature for hinge capacities or contact Guardian Gate Hardware for technical support. Weld only on the vertical portions of the yoke and plate. DO NOT weld the top and bottom of the hinges. 

MAINTENANCE: A regular maintenance schedule is important for the efficacy and durability of any gate system. This GUARDIAN gate hinge is equipped with a grease zerk (FIG 3) for easy lubrication. One pump of a high quality, multi purpose grease every 3 months should be sufficient under normal operating conditions. More frequent maintenance is necessary under severe operating conditions. Do not over lubricate
