This kit is for the 1950-56 Studebaker, some 1954-56 Hudsons and possibly other 1954-56 AMC vehicles, and plus many foreign cars using the "Automatic" transmission, commonly referred to as the "3 Band Automatic". The outside seal kit fits all cars and trucks that use a 3 Band Automatic Transmission manufactured by Detroit Gear. It is made to fit the models DG150, DG200 and the DG250 transmissions. This transmission is known to have also been used in the following cars and trucks from the mid 50's to the late 60's. Humber, International-Divco, Jaguar Mark VII, Jaguar 3.5 Litre, Jaguar 'S' type (1963-68), Mercedes 300D, Post Office-Pony Express and the Rover 3 Litre.

The front seal is made with Silicone (red or orange) rubber which is recommended due to the 3BA's high operating temperature, the standard Nitrile rubber seals could fail after a few years. "The permissible operating temperature range of silicone rubber is –62 to +176 °C (–80 to +350 °F)" (the brand will generally be National), while the Nitrile is -40 to +225 °F.
All the parts in the kit are new, not NOS or NORS, except the rear seal which is NORS. NOS and NORS pure cork pan gaskets tend to be worthless as they have either shrunk too much or/and they have become so hard they crack and break or/and do not seal properly when using. (NORS - New old replacement stock) If the pan gasket pictured and described matches yours, than all of the other parts in the kit will fit also. Pan Gasket Specifications: The gasket is new and is die/machine cut and made out of 1/16" thick Cellulose Accopac® RN-8011, a highly compressible black material with high rubber content, it provides excellent sealing of water and oil at low flange loads. Nitrile butadiene binder. For applications up to 180°C (350°F).
