Vintage brass Red Eye Wiggler fishing lures, also known as "Red Eye Flies," was patented in the early 1920s by Dr. Frederic Hofschneider, a Rochester, NY-based dentist, inventor, and holder of a number of “dental” related and lure patents. Many pike fisherman prefer these lures. I remember fishing with these 60 years ago in upstate New York for pike.

The one ounce spoon measures 3 inches long and has one treble hook and one dual hook on the opposite end. The Red Eye Spoon has two red, movable ball eyes, hence the name.
