This listing is for a lovely set of English Sterling Silver table accessories including a condiment/mustard pot, pepper pot and two open salts each with a cobalt glass insert/liner. The two salts are decorated with a pierced band around the top and the two pots have the matching band around both the top and the base. The design features four vertical ribbed columns with embossed swags in between with the columns having a low foot at the base of each. The mustard pot has a handle and hinged top with cut-out to hold small condiment spoon. The lid of the mustard pot is marked with the English Sterling hallmark and the lid of the pepper pot is also marked with the Sterling hallmark with other illegible hallmark stamps. We didn't find the mark on the two open salts, however, the pattern matches exactly on the four pieces so we are certain that the salts are also Sterling Silver.
Salt Cellars measure 1 3/8" high and 1 3/4" in diameter. Silver only weighs 36 grams.
Pepper Pot measures 3 1/2" high and 1 3/8" in diameter. Silver only weighs 22 grams.
Mustard Pot measures 3 1/2" high and 3" wide (including handle). Could not remove the liner to weigh silver.
Combined weight of the set is 11.5 ounces. Total gram weight of three pieces is 58 grams plus weight of the silver on the mustard pot.
Each of the pieces are in very good to excellent Estate condition. The only noted flaw is that the mustard pot has a slight bend on the rim of the base which causes the liner to remain within the silver. The lid of the mustard pot also does not close tightly and has a slight gap between the lid and the top of the base. We found no damage to any of the cobalt glass liners. Each of the pieces may reflect some minor signs of normal wear and handling but we found no other noted flaws.
