Welcome to Antiques & Moore!

This listing is for a lovely Art Nouveau gilt bronze diminutive cabinet or table clock made by the Waterbury Clock Company. The clock has an aged gold finish on the bronze body that has a molded classic Art Nouveau shape with porcelain insert. The porcelain insert is decorated with a hand-painted cherub. The clock has a porcelain face with nicely embossed pierced and gilded medallion in the center. Marked on back "Waterbury Clock Co., USA". Back is also marked Patented with the earliest patent date being Jan 15, 1878 and the latest being Jan 13, 1891".

Measures 5" high, 3 1/4" wide and 2" deep (at feet). Weighs 1.1 pound.

This nice clock is in very good Estate condition with the most noted flaw being a chip on the porcelain face at the 2:00 marker. The clock has minor fading and wear to the gilded finish and hand-painted porcelain insert which reflects normal wear and aging. The clock is currently working, has a good spring, clock winds smoothly and keeps time although we do not guarantee it to keep correct time for any extended period. We have not had the clock professionally checked and it most likely will need to be cleaned and possibly adjusted to keep good time. Please note that we are selling this clock as a shelf clock in "as found" condition without any guarantees.
