1950s Naito Shoten INTER PLANET SPACE CAPTAIN Tin Toy REPRO Limited Edition!!

This particular Robot is part of Tin Tom Limited Edition Early Run of 1,999 Robots made. This one is number 0575 and is printed on the underside of the robots body.

Own a part of toy history! It is a reproduction of one of the rare group of robots made by Naito Shoten, Japan, in the 1950s. This is the earliest repro of this toy, which says "Made in Japan" on the robot, key, and box. It caused a stir when originally introduced because they were being confused with originals. The "Japan" was dropped after a short run. The robot is approximately 8.5 inches tall.

Condition

Robot itself shows light signs of wear throughout as pictured. Excellent working condition. Box top is a very thin soft cardboard but is holding up pretty good. There is a small poke holes on the cover, tape on box, edge wear, corner wear and overall general age wear as seen in photos.
