Welcome to Antiques & Moore!

This listing is for an impressive huge Sterling Silver overlay Art Glass vase, c. 1890-1910. The vase has a blown green glass body totally encased with a thick layer of Sterling Silver. The silver convers the entire exterior surface of the vase other than the bottom of the base and is engraved with a large floral wreath on the front.  Although we did not find the Sterling stamp on this vase, we do guarantee that this vase is Sterling Silver overlay.  We believe the silver overlay work was done by Gorham, Alvin or one of the other prominent silver companies operating in the U.S. at the turn-of-the-century.

Measures 13 3/4" high with a 4 1/4" diameter top and 4 3/4" diameter base. Weighs 3.7 pounds.

This unusual vase is in very good to excellent Estate condition with no damage to the glass and no major flaws to the silver covering. There are a few minor nicks and scrapes on the silver exterior from normal wear. Please view all photos.
