DESCRIPTION

The IPL hair remover is designed to effortlessly eliminate unwanted hair without the need for expensive or painful in-salon treatments. Results are usually first visible after four sessions and you will normally start to notice a decrease in hair after around 8-10 sessions.

Results are dependent on the individual’s hair type and growth cycle, so some people can achieve noticeable results after a few sessions, while it can take more time for others.

IPL Explained:

When the device is placed against the skin, gentle pulses of intense light are directed at the hair follicle to disable root and cause lasting damage. Light energy is absorbed by the melanin pigment to destroy cells responsible for hair growth.

Note: Each individual hair is at a different stage in it's hair cycle, treatment is most effective within the active growth phase, which is why multiple treatments are needed.

Typical treatment plan:

• Treatments 1-4 - every 2 weeks

• Treatments 5-8 - every 4 weeks

• Treatments 8+ - every 4-6 weeks or as required

Suitability:

Always patch test 24 hours before use. Details are stated within the manual.

Suitable for fair-coloured skin through to olive/tanned and dark skin types. For treatment to be effective the hair needs to be darker than the surrounding skin. Best results are on pale skin with dark hair. Different power levels are required on different skin tones.

May not be suitable for blonde, red, grey or white hair as there is less melanin to absorb the light.

Not suitable for people:

• With a history of epilepsy, skin cancer, diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease or thyroid problems.

• Currently pregnant, breast feeding or taking medication known to increase photosensitivity (it is recommended to check for photosensitivity warnings and if in any doubt consult your doctor before purchasing).
