Banks® Plastic Black Short Ram Air Intake System with Oiled Filter (E2D454) The Banks Ram-Air Intake System replaces the factory flat panel filter with a large conical lifetime filter for maximum high-flow filtration. The Ram-inlet Air's dwarfs the stock's, and there are no 90-degree detours to choke airflow and kill power. The massive inlet, enclosed housing, and much larger tubing reduce restrictions, resulting in significantly improved airflow to the cylinders. The more air that can flow through your engine, the more oxygen that will be available for fuel combustion. That means more power from greater, more efficient combustion. This is where the optional Banks Ram-Air Intake System with Super-Scoop® comes in. The cold air box's large bottom opening and optional Super-Scoop inlet are designed to draw in cooler, denser air from the outside. Stock systems do not pull cooler air from beneath, and many aftermarket "filter on a stick" designs leave the filter wide open to all the hot underhood air, robbing you of power.
