Forged Mustang II spindles are hot forged under pressure to their final shape and then surfaces machined. This forging process maintains the metal’s grain structure for increased strength. Cast Mustang II spindles are made from a mold that molten steel is poured into, thus having less strength in critical areas due to the non-uniform grain structure. Cast Mustang II spindles have been known to fail, especially original Ford units, which is why we only offer forged spindles for your Mustang II installation.
