The fruit of Physalis peruviana is similar to Physalis pruinosa “Aunt Molly” in appearance except that it is larger, orange in colour and more tart, unless ripenwd for a long time.  This plant grows to about 1m tall and will survive for several years if protected from frost in Melbourne.  In this case, it starts producing earlier in the season compared to new plants grown from seed.  Both are equally productive relative to their size, but Physalis pruinosa “Aunt Molly” (see my other listing) grows to 20-30cm tall and is sweeter.  Pick fallen fruit and leave on table to ripen further instead of picking fruit off the plant.

On offer are 20 seeds.  It is your responsibility to comply with your local quarantine requirements.  I offer combined postage and you can request for that during the checkout process.  Thank you.
