Original Iron Fire Front / Ashcover Often called a "Tidy Betty". This cast iron fret features a strong bowed section at the front with a cast iron knob. (Item 10162 is identical with a small chip on the RH rear bottom corner)

Very rare ashpan cover, probably originally part of an early hob grate or similar, this is probably Victorian, but could be older. Recently re-finished in Matt black stove paint, it has since picked up minor scuffs and marks (see photos) but is in perfect shape with no cracks or chips visible.

We strongly recommend coming and having a look before purchase, if you bring a template of your fireplace opening, with measurements and some digital photos we can see if it will fit....If not we are normally able to find something suitable from our vast stocks of fireplace related paraphernalia

This is a quite a small item, would fit most car boots with ease.
